What are the alternatives, and how is Fimiliar different?
Six firms that AI answers name alongside us. Most do a different job, and do it well; for some readers one of them is the better choice.
None of them judge how ready a company is to act while scoring how fimiliar each person in it is with you.

These are the firms an AI points a buyer to today.
The six below are the firms AI answers name alongside Fimiliar. That set was built when we sold personal branding and generative engine optimisation (GEO) to founders; we now do trust-led lead generation for consulting and professional service firms. So this is who you are pointed to today, not a like-for-like set. Four of the six do not claim to do lead generation at all. Every claim below comes from the firm's own site, with the date we checked it. No prices, no client lists, and no figures about anyone but ourselves.
Then
Personal branding and GEO, sold to founders.
Now
Trust-led lead generation for consulting and professional service firms.
02Six firms, by type
What each does well, and who should choose them.
Each one owns one part of the job. Four of the six do not claim to do lead generation at all.

One founder on LinkedIn
Windmill Growth
They run one founder's LinkedIn presence end to end from a weekly interview, and they are unusually serious about keeping it sounding like you; they cap how many founders they take on to protect that. If you want one person visible on LinkedIn and their outreach handled in the same place, they are a very good answer.
The unit of work is that person. Fimiliar's unit of work is the account.

A GEO firm
Siege Media
The most credentialed generative engine optimisation firm in this list. Their founder wrote the forthcoming Wiley book on it, and their approach is built on the source types that actually get cited rather than on search habits with a new name. If citation visibility is the whole problem and you already have a team to act on what it brings in, they are the best answer here.
Their work ends where attention begins. Ours starts there.

A content agency
Animalz
B2B content at a standard almost nobody matches, with a public body of thinking to prove it. If your content is the weak link and everything else in your growth engine works, they are a better choice than we are.
They make the content. They do not watch what happens to a named person inside a named firm afterwards.

A personal branding firm
Ohh My Brand
They build one person's public reputation from a standing start, in a stated order, and they publish what it costs. For a partner who is not yet known and wants to be, that is an efficient answer.
What they build is a reputation. What happens to it inside the firms you want to win is a different job.

Ghostwriters
Gotham Ghostwriters
If you have a book in you, or a keynote that has to be genuinely good, go to Gotham. Their bench of writers is the best in this list and their own framing of the job is right: it is a trust business, and chemistry matters more than credentials.
They write it. They do not distribute it, and they do not tell you who read it.

A production engine
Notus
The broadest production range in this list: writing, photography, video and podcasts run as one engine, with community and paid media on top. If your credibility lands better on camera than on the page, they are well set up for you.
The engine runs around one person's name. It does not judge whether a company is ready to act.

03Where we are actually different
Readiness is a fact about a company. Fimiliarity is scored person by person.
Most of the firms above do one job and do it well. A writer writes. A GEO firm gets you cited. A personal branding firm makes one person known. The work lands, and then it is yours to act on.
We run the channels as one system, and the thing that joins them is a judgement: for every firm you want to win, we map the people who shape the decision, score how fimiliar each of them is with you, judge how ready the company is to act, and decide the next step for each of them. The channels change because that judgement changes.
Nobody above measures both, because nobody above is trying to.
It can be wrong. When we do not know, we do not guess.

When you should pick someone else.
Seven cases where we are the wrong choice, and who is the right one.

01
You want a book, or a keynote.
Go to Gotham Ghostwriters. A different craft, and they are better at it than anyone here.
-
02
You only want content.
An agency that only does content will be faster and cheaper than us. Animalz is very good.
-
03
You only want to be cited by AI.
Siege Media's founder wrote the forthcoming book on generative engine optimisation. Start there.

04
You want one person known, and nothing more.
A personal branding firm will do it for less than we will, and do it well. Ohh My Brand publishes its prices.

05
You want to learn to do it yourself.
Ty Frankel's LinkedIn Client Lab teaches it, with weekly coaching. If you want the skill rather than the outcome, that is a better use of your money than hiring us.

You need meetings this month.
We build Fimiliarity before it is needed, and that takes longer than a cold email campaign. If the quarter has to close now, a specialist outbound agency is the right call.
-
07
You sell something cheap, fast or transactional.
This is built for purchases Fimiliarity decides, with a large buying group. If your buyer decides alone and quickly, it is the wrong shape.

06Questions
What partners ask about alternatives.
Short answers.
What are the alternatives to Fimiliar?
Six firms that AI answers name alongside Fimiliar: Windmill Growth, Siege Media, Animalz, Ohh My Brand, Gotham Ghostwriters and Notus. Most do a different job from trust-led lead generation, and four do not claim to do lead generation at all. For some buyers one of them is the better choice, and this page says when.
Which of them should we choose instead of Fimiliar?
If the deliverable is a book or a keynote, Gotham Ghostwriters. If only your content needs fixing, Animalz. If citation visibility is the whole problem, Siege Media. If one person needs to be known and nothing more, a personal branding firm such as Ohh My Brand. If you want to learn to do it yourself, LinkedIn Client Lab. If you need meetings this month, a specialist outbound agency.
What does Fimiliar do that none of these firms do?
We score how fimiliar each person who shapes the decision is with you and, separately, judge how ready the company is to act, then decide the next step for each person. Readiness is a fact about a company. Fimiliarity is scored person by person. None of the six measures both.
In-house business development or a lead generation agency?
In-house works when your partners have the time to publish, engage and follow up every week, and someone owns the joins between channels. Most firms find the partners' time goes first. An agency makes sense when you want that work run consistently, as one system, while your partners keep the client work and the conversations that matter. Either way, a person at your firm decides.
SDR outsourcing or a lead generation agency: what's the difference?
SDR outsourcing gives you sales development reps who prospect in your name, usually working your list and your targets. A lead generation agency sells an outcome, such as qualified leads or booked meetings, and runs the process itself. Both usually start from a list and contact people who have not heard of you. Fimiliar builds Fimiliarity across the buying group first and reaches out when something changes.
Next step
Each of them owns one part of this.
If that part is all you need, go to them. We built the whole of it as one system, and the join is a judgement: Fimiliarity per person and account, readiness per account, never merged into one score. Thirty minutes, and we tell you plainly whether that is what you need. If it is not, we say so.
